Celebrate Free Fishing Day!
Kids enjoying Free Fishing Day

Each year the Wyoming Game and Fish Department designates the first Saturday of National Boating and Fishing Week as a free fishing day when anyone can fish in Wyoming, except within the Wind River Reservation and Yellowstone National Park, without a fishing license. This year, Free Fishing Day is June 1.

Fun fishing events will be held across the state to celebrate Free Fishing Day. Whether you decide to attend a sponsored event or just pay a visit to your favorite fishing hole, grab your family and friends and get outside and fish!
