President Joe Biden hits a judicial milestone in his presidency but faces a setback in Ohio.

  • Senate Democrats have confirmed Biden's 200th judicial nominee, who will join the most diverse group of federal judges appointed by any president in history.

  • Ohio Republican lawmakers won’t pass special legislation to allow Biden to be on the state's ballot this November. Other means of fixing this issue can still ensure Biden will appear on Ohio's ballot.

Ohio and California Republicans take actions that could harm voters.

  • Ohio Supreme Court denied Attorney General David Yost's (R) request to dismiss a lawsuit alleging he wrongly rejected a proposed voting rights ballot measure. The case will continue.

  • Three Republican voters in Orange County filed a lawsuit trying to strike down the California Voter’s Choice Act, which allows voters to cast ballots at any vote center in their county as opposed to one designated polling place.

Ahead of the election, the Public Interest Legal Fund (PILF) is attempting to gain access to states’ voter registration records.

  • A right-wing group filed lawsuits targeting states exempt from some National Voter Registration Act provisions to publicly disclose their voter rolls. If successful, the lawsuits could lead to voter purges ahead of November. Read our article here.

  • Eleven prominent Republicans pleaded not guilty yesterday for their involvement in overturning Arizona's 2020 election results. Rudy Giuliani was ordered to post a $10,000 bond after he tried to avoid being served with a summons for weeks.

  • Former Trump lawyers are facing accountability for their alleged crimes committed while trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Democracy Docket’s Sophie Feldman breaks this down in our latest YouTube video.
