Friend — we have a problem. Please read this campaign update:

I’m getting messages from supporters in the 6th District who have received phone calls from a pollster asking for their reactions to negative statements about me. 

We’re gathering more information, but one thing is for sure: Someone, either one of my opponents or an outside group, is getting ready to launch a negative attack against us — and we need to be ready. 

Please, I’m asking: Chip in $6 or more to our new Grassroots Rapid Response Fund so we can counter whatever negative attacks they throw at us →

The pollster is “testing negatives” — seeing what angle of attack on me will get the strongest reaction.

I knew this race might get nasty, but this is happening sooner than I’d hoped.

In my last two races, outside groups spent TONS of money attacking me. I can take it! But negative ads make it harder for our POSITIVE message to be heard, so we have to have the funds to break through the noise.
