Hi it’s Eliza, Ayanna’s campaign manager.
I’m reaching out today because our team is planning out our budgets and priorities for the summer — staffing up, recruiting more volunteers, and engaging more voters on important issues and elections — and you’re an important part of this work.
Since we are an entirely grassroots-funded campaign, whether or not we can carry out these plans is determined by small-dollar donors like you, chipping in to emails just like this one.
So as we set our budgets for the months ahead, can you please donate $25 or anything you can today? Your support ensures Ayanna can continue fighting for our communities in Congress, and our campaign can continue organizing for bold, systemic change.
With our grassroots fundraising model, it’s important that we hit every monthly goal we set — including May’s.
Here are a few of reasons why your contribution right now would make an impact for Ayanna and our campaign:
- With the support of this team and our volunteers, Ayanna just officially got on the ballot here in MA-07! Now it’s time to focus our efforts on expanding our community organizing for Ayanna and her progressive theory of change.
- AIPAC has been aggressively spending money against progressives like Summer Lee and Jamaal Bowman. We need to make sure Ayanna is prepared for their Republican-funded attacks on her character and credibility.
- Rather than filling her time hosting exclusive fundraisers for our campaign, Ayanna has been reintroducing legislation to combat the Black maternal morbidity crisis, advocating to keep medication abortion legal, and fighting for widespread student debt cancellation — just to name a few things. Your donation to this email ensures she can continue doing this critical work.
In order to hit our May fundraising goal and carry out our full campaign plan over the summer, the team, Ayanna, and I are relying on a strong response to this email.
So can you please pitch in $25 or anything you can today to support Ayanna’s re-election campaign?
We’re so grateful for your support,
Eliza
