Tell Congress:
"We the people deserve access to health care without paying exorbitant out-of-pocket costs and navigating complex health care systems. In the wake of this public health crisis, for the sake of your constituents like me, I urge you to pass the Medicare for All Act."

John,
Health care is a human right. Period.
In the midst of a global pandemic, the vulnerabilities of America’s for-profit health care system are laid bare. The confusing, expensive web of health care bureaucracy is endangering public health and contributing to a longer lockdown. It’s time to cut through the red tape and enact Medicare for All!
We need to build a health care system in this country that protects everyone. That means passing Medicare for All, so that health care is a human right. Sign the petition today demanding Congress pass the Medicare for All Act!
While Donald Trump likes to claim that every American can get a COVID-19 test and that that testing is free, neither are really true. Who covers the cost of the ER visit if you need to get tested? Or what about the cost of treatment?
If you’re one of the 27.5 million uninsured Americans, everything other than the COVID-19 test itself will be out of pocket.
It’s time to stop thinking that unlimited money to “keep Americans safe” can only be spent on planes and bombs. Already, over 18,000 American lives have been lost to the pandemic.1
This health care crisis has only been made worse by the Trump administration's hostility toward protecting people. Trump spent the first year of his Presidency fighting to kick at least 20 million more people off of their insurance by repealing the Affordable Care Act.
And Donald Trump’s Health & Human Services Secretary, a former Big Pharma executive, told Congress that he’s more interested in ensuring that a COVID-19 vaccine will protect corporate profits, not the American people―even though the work to develop the vaccine is being funded with taxpayer dollars.2
The Republican Party’s insistence that health care is a luxury only for those who can afford it is contributing to the spread of this pandemic, endangering even those who can afford health care.
Seniors already spend 40% of their average Social Security checks on health care. Medicare for All gets rid of premiums, deductibles and copays―and covers dental, vision, hearing, and long-term care.
Medicare for All is the solution. It’s time to make health care a human right. Sign the petition today!
Thanks,
