John, we did it! I am officially the Democratic nominee in GA-06!

When Republicans in the Georgia state legislature redrew Congressional maps this past December, everything hung in the balance.

But I refused to back down, John. I told myself this work is too important to give up, and that I would refuse to let the extremist Republicans determine when my time in Congress is done.

Despite only a few months to build this campaign from the ground up, my team and I managed to spread my message far and wide across this district and prevail against two primary challengers. Now that I’m on the ballot, we’re fully focused on ramping up operations between now and November so I can win when it matters.

This is more than just a job to me, John. Being a Congresswoman is about showing up every day to improve people’s lives in my community. It’s about ending gun violence, so no more families have to suffer like mine did. It’s about lowering the cost of prescription drugs, so people don’t have to choose between crucial healthcare or putting food on the table.

My track record of fighting for Georgians speaks for itself, and it’ll take more than cheap tactics from Republicans to kick me out of Congress. In a crucial election year like 2024, I know I need to return to Washington DC.

But – I couldn’t do any of this without help from supporters like you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with me.
