Featured Funding OpportunitiesGreen Resiliency Grant (GRG) ProgramEarlier this month, Governor Kathy Hochul announced $60 million is available for the inaugural round of the Green Resiliency Grant (GRG) program. The new program will prioritize grants to flood-prone communities and help them undertake innovative green infrastructure projects such as green roofs, green streets, and permeable pavement.Applications are due by 5 p.m. on August 16. Learn More Here!FY 2024 Citizenship and Integration Grant Program - Citizenship and Integration Training AcademyU.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced the opening of the application period for the Citizenship and Integration Training Academy (CITA), a new funding opportunity under the Citizenship and Integration Grant Program. CITA, a technical assistance grant, will provide up to $2.6 million in competitive funding to public or nonprofit organizations that have not received previous grant funding from USCIS. Through this grant opportunity, USCIS will provide funding and rigorous training to enable organizations to establish new high-quality citizenship programs. All applications must be submitted electronically by July 12, 2024, to be considered.EPA Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grant ProgramThe EPA will provide funding to replace non-zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles with zero-emission ones. The funding can also be used for vehicle refueling infrastructure, workforce development, and project implementation.Eligible Applicants include:States, including U.S. territoriesMunicipalities, including public school districtsIndian TribesNonprofit school transportation associationsThe list if eligible vehicles can be found here.All applications must be submitted electronically to the EPA through Grants.gov no later than Wednesday, July 25, 2024, at 11:59PM (ET) to be considered. Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Community Project Funding Process UpdateTonko Selects 15 Community Projects for Federal Funding PushLast week, I announced the selection of 15 community development and improvement projects that I submitted to the House Committee on Appropriations in an effort to bring federal investment to the Capital Region through the FY2025 Community Project Funding process.With a combination of visionary leadership and sound investment, we can unleash untold potential all across our Capital Region in ways that will support our residents, revitalize our communities, and strengthen our businesses. Through a rigorous application process, my staff and I painstakingly selected 15 projects that will bolster and strengthen our region from a group of dozens of strong applicants.
