Honestly, for most of us on this team, it’s not the first race we’ve worked on — which means we know how special this campaign is. It’s not just that, as an LGBTQ+ Native American who was raised by a single mom, worked her own way through school, and used to be a professional MMA fighter — and flipped a GOP-held seat — Sharice broke through a ton of barriers to get to Congress. It’s not even that she’s Kansas’ only elected Democratic representative in Washington.
