John, hundreds of people across the country are celebrating
Laudato Si' Week by calling and emailing their members of Congress on a critical piece of legislation that
helps communities around the world affected by hunger and poverty.

Extreme weather events undermine agricultural communities, causing severe food insecurity and increasing the
need for food assistance. At a time of rising global hunger and malnutrition, we must act with determination.
