Friends --
Team Warner hopes that you and your families are staying safe and healthy during this outbreak. We are committed to bringing you updates on what Mark Warner is working on to make sure that all Virginians are protected during this difficult time.
Here are just some of Mark's priorities from this week:
Mark sponsored the Natural Disaster and Emergency Ballot Act, which would expand vote-by-mail and early voting access across the country. In Virginia, we've already made great strides to expand voting access, and Mark wants to make sure that everyone has the same opportunity to cast their ballot as we look forward to November.

As daily and weekly newspapers across the Commonwealth announce cuts and unpaid leave, Mark stood with Tim Kaine and other Senate colleagues to ask for funding to support local journalism and media outlets in the next coronavirus relief package. This outbreak has made the already essential role of local news even more important.

Mark joined a bipartisan push to make sure our farmers and rural communities are protected during the coronavirus pandemic by suspending pending foreclosures and issuing loan payment deferrals, among other short-term relief provisions.

Mark led a bipartisan group of senators in calling for immediate assistance for mortgage servicers to avoid a housing finance system crisis and make sure that the mortgage relief provided in the CARES Act can be actualized for homeowners.

A lot of folks across the Commonwealth celebrated Passover this week or are celebrating Easter this weekend, and we'd like to extend our warmest wishes for happy and safe holidays. It's a difficult time to be apart from family and loved ones, and we hope that folks are able to connect virtually now, and are looking forward to a time to be together in person once it's safe to do so. We will get through this together.
Be well,
Team Warner
