A HUGE thank you to everybody who made the first annual Upstate Anarchist Book Fair a success!

The first ever Upstate Anarchist Book Fair was a rousing success and will absolutely be coming back bigger and better next year! Over 40 tablers and 750+ attendees came out to celebrate May Day with PM Press and Riot Act Books at the PM Press Warehouse. In the DIY spirit of the weekend, the loading dock was converted to a speaking area and the parking lot became a street fair, a work of art, and a dance floor. Anticipating rain the next day, tablers self-organized and set up inside on Sunday. Everyone chipped in: a pot of coffee there, a shared tent here, an extra pair of hands always at the ready. The solidarity was palpable. We organizers left the weekend exhausted but inspired and invigorated.

Infinite thanks to the volunteers, the vendors, the tabling organizations, the speakers, the upstate community for coming out to support, the @riotactbooks crew, the @pmpress crew, the cooking crew, the @heretic_culture_syndicate bike crew, the traveling crew who stopped the warehouse basketball hoop from getting stolen, Wilton the audio king, the may pole dancers, the trash crafters, the sign makers, the plant dyers, the screen printers, the seed starters, the wall taggers, the tree planters, the chalk drawers, the beekeepers, the bees, and especially our moms!

PM Press authors Charlie Allison, Katie Tastrom, David Van Deusen, and Jonathan Lethem all came down/up to give great talks and panel presentations.

Fiction author Jonathan Lethem provided the keynote. Listen to his full talk HERE.
