In crisis zones around the world, children are facing dire threats, and mothers are making extraordinary sacrifices to keep them safe.
Mothers risk dangerous conditions to flee conflict and natural disasters and give children a chance of survival. They endure hunger so their children can be fed, and spend every bit of their money on medical care for their babies. In Ukraine, Gaza and other war zones, mothers do anything they can to protect their families from harm.

- In Gaza, the IRC and our partners are providing critical medical care and food assistance, along with mental health and psychosocial support to women and children, including mothers.
