TOPEKA*— Today, in accordance with Executive Order #20-30, Governor Laura Kelly has directed flags be flown at half-staff in the City of Columbus, Kansas, from sunup to sundown on Friday, May 24, 2024, in honor of Columbus Police Chief Jason Daniels.

“Chief Daniels served the people of Columbus honorably for more than two decades,” *Governor Laura Kelly said. *“We owe him a debt of gratitude for his contributions to his community. My sincere condolences go out to Chief Daniels’ wife, children, and loved ones during this difficult time.”
