Costello was presented with his own emails pressuring one-time fixer Michael Cohen that said things like, “I told you my relationship with Rudy which could be very very useful to you,” which makes it clear that not only was there a conspiracy to cover up the Stormy Daniels hush money payment but also a conspiracy to cover up the cover-up of the hush money payment. Nothing says "I'm innocent of a cover-up!" like covering up your cover-up.

Lawyers found more classified docs in Trump’s bedroom 4 months after Mar-a-Lago search
Not only were four more classified documents found in Trump's fricking bedroom in searches conducted months after the seismic Mar-a-Lago raid in August 2022, there were at least two more rounds of classified materials found on Trump’s property following additional searches. “Notably, no excuse is provided as to how the former president could miss the classified-marked documents found in his own bedroom at Mar-a-Lago,” wrote US District Judge Beryl Howell in a newly unsealed opinion. Trump turned over those extra documents to the FBI in January 2023, raising glaring questions like, "How in the hell did it take a year and a half before this hit the news?" It's a tired exercise at this point but just IMAGINE how the media would react if Hillary Clinton had done this. If only this historic case wasn't being handled by an incompetent, compromised Trump appointee abusing her position to protect the MAGA cult leader from the consequences of his own seditious actions.

In a shocking development, the serially indicted fraudster told the nation, "We're looking at that, and I'm going to have a policy on that very shortly, and I think it’s something that you’ll find interesting" after being asked whether he would support restrictions on contraception. Judging from the rapidity of the backtrack and the extremely vague response, it's clear that Trump either doesn't know what contraception is or his gravy-choked brain cells shorted out so badly he just gave one of his usual boilerplate bravados that he uses to get out of having to talk to the media. After presumably getting several frantic phone calls from his staffers, Trump later posted that he will "never advocate imposing restrictions on birth control or other contraceptives." While Trump likely has no personal interest in banning contraception, the dead-eyed theocratic extremists poised to staff a second Trump White House DEFINITELY DO, and we can't let them get anywhere near the reins of power.

The disgraced ex-president chose not to take the witness stand in his porn star hush money trial despite telling his minions for months he would testify. Trump incessantly — and incorrectly — complained that he was being "silenced" by the judge's gag order and falsely claimed he was not allowed to testify. The serially indicted sex pest spoke to the media before and after his day in court, announcing, "We'll be resting pretty quickly. Resting meaning resting the case. I won't be resting. I don't rest. I’d like to rest. But I never get to rest," which is ironic because Trump apparently spent the majority of this trial asleep in the courtroom. Afterwards, the MAGA cult leader decided some racism was in order and attacked Judge Juan Merchan, asing reporters to "take a look at where he comes from." Judge Merchan immigrated to the US from Colombia when he was six years old and steadfastly worked his way through the US legal system to become a successful, respected judge. It's all a poignant reminder of what's at stake if Trump wins re-election — no more DREAMERs, no more independent judiciary, and a whole lot more sleeping on the job.

Senate Judiciary Committee chair Dick Durbin will NOT be taking any action against Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito over the displaying of a treasonous, upside-down flag outside his home in Virginia, which symbolizes an endorsement of Donald Trump's bogus "Stop the Steal" 2020 election overturn efforts. “No, we haven't got anything planned. I think he’s explained his situation. The American public understand what he did. But I don't think there’s much to be gained with a hearing at this point. I think he should recuse himself from cases involving Trump and his administration...There’s no recourse other than impeachment, and we're not at that point at all," Durbin said. Uhm, hello? At least two Supreme Court justices have openly endorsed plots to subvert our democracy on behalf of a would-be dictator. How does that not warrant impeachment proceedings?

Biden administration signals it will support push to sanction ICC
The Biden administration will work with Congress on possible sanctions against the International Criminal Court after its prosecutor announced it was seeking arrest warrants for senior Israeli and Hamas officials, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Tuesday. Congressional Republicans are planning to pass legislation to punish the ICC for issuing an arrest warrant for Israel's Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu for the heinous atrocities and war crimes against civilians committed by the IDF in the course of its war against Hamas. Republicans made it clear a long time ago to have no respect for human lives in America or the rule of law, so it is unsurprising that they are eager to further dismantle a key pillar of the post-war, rules-based international order. But it is a deeply disappointing move by the Biden administration, which welcomed an earlier ICC arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin and pushed accusations of genocide for war crimes committed in Ukraine by the Russian army. For perspective, Israeli forces have killed more than 12,300 Palestinian children in their current war with Hamas while Russian forces have taken the lives of 567 children in Ukraine. As former Obama staffer Ben Rhodes rightly put it, "There is no such thing as a 'rules based international order' if the rules only apply to people and countries you don't like."

Amy Klobuchar, and it didn't take long before White started making waves on social media for posting about his penis...and that's the tame part. White’s nüTwitter feed is littered with outlandish posts referring to Democrats as “bitches,” “f*gs,” “whores," and "c*nts." He's also declared that “the real issue is the Jews!” The GOP picked this asshole to run for SENATE. There is no bottom on the right.

In yet another show of fascistic repression, the Israeli government seized cameras and equipment belonging to the Associated Press in order to take down a livestream of northern Gaza, one that is used by hundreds of news agencies around the world — including Qatari-based al-Jazeera, which the Israeli government has banned for being "biased" against Israel. More than 35,000 Palestinians have been killed in the indiscriminate, US-armed Israeli bombardment, mostly women and children. More than 100 journalists have been killed, including at least three who were specifically targeted by the IDF to silence their reporting. The Israel government has since returned the equipment to the AP after protests from the Biden administration.

Brazen right-wing hypocrisy strikes again! Moms for Liberty co-founder and rabid anti-LGBTQ asshole Bridge Ziegler is back in the news again after Sarasota police released a memo containing text messages between Ziegler and her husband, Christian, who she reportedly sent out on regular bar prowls to hunt for prospective women for the couple to have sex with. "Don’t come home until your d*ck is wet," Bridget Ziegler allegedly told her husband in one particularly wholesome text. The Zieglers, a local power couple in Florida Republican politics, were at the center of a sex abuse scandal after a woman alleged that Christian had raped her while she was involved in a three-way relationship with the pair. They were both ousted from their respective positions at the Florida GOP and the conservative Leadership Institute, although charges were never formally issued. To be clear, the Zieglers are perfectly within their rights to engage in sexual behavior with other consenting adults, but doing so behind closed doors while publicly fighting tooth and nail to marginalize, demonize, and ostracize the LGBTQ community and ramrodding far-right, extremist curricula into school sysems across America is beyond appalling.
