This week at CBPP, we focused on COVID-19, the federal budget, and the economy.

• On COVID-19, Stacy Dean asserted that a temporary SNAP benefit bump is a no-brainer for more economic stimulus. We explained how most states are easing SNAP participation rules and providing added benefits as a result of the COVID-19 health and economic crisis. We also updated our report urging the Agriculture Department and states to act swiftly to deliver food assistance allowed by the Families First Act. Jennifer Wagner detailed how states can streamline Medicaid enrollment during the COVID-19 public health emergency. All of our materials on the COVID-19 crisis can be found on CBPP’s COVID-19 page.
