We are letting you know about an EEF research opportunity for Nottingham City based settings. This project focuses on supporting the development of speech, language and communication within Early Years settings.
The Language Lead Approach is designed by drawing on high-quality evidence and the expertise of the team at Nottingham City Council and Educational Psychologists, in collaboration with experienced Language Leads and Speech and Language Therapists.
They are looking for 12 Nottingham City based Early Years settings/schools ?to deliver the programme and provide feedback for future development. All who participate will receive ?2,000 as an incentive for their involvement. The programme is taking place from September 2024 to December 2024.

Home Talk
Exciting News! SSBC are going to be offering their award wining Home Talk offer across the city for the remainder of the SSBC programme.
It offers support for children who are aged between 2 and 2 ? years old who have a delay in spoken language skills.

We are now taking bookings for the summer Rising 5s / F2 Agreement Trialling sessions. These no cost sessions are designed to enable reception class teachers to make accurate judgements when completing the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile. The focus areas will be writing and an area or child of your choice.
We will be running sessions on:
Tuesday 18th June at Castle Cavendish from 09.00-12.00 and from 13.00-16.00
Wednesday 19th June Online via MS Teams from 09.00-11.30 and from 13.00-15.30
