Fellow American,
The New York Times wrote a story filled with frivolous lies about my childhood.
If it weren’t so demeaning to my parents’ lifelong teaching careers and the town I’m so proud to have been raised in, it might be funny.
The simple fact is The New York Times is lying.
Here's the truth: and I hope you will read all the way to the end.
Growing up, we lived on campus at Bloomsburg State College and my parents owned a farm ten minutes down the road.
I had summer jobs baling hay and trimming Christmas trees at nearby farms.
My dad started his career teaching history, economics, & democracy at Punxsutawney High. My mom began teaching fourth through sixth graders at a public school near Pittsburgh.
I’m incredibly proud that my dad was chosen to be president of Bloomsburg State College (now Bloomsburg State University) at only 34 years old.

It’s incredible to me that this New York Times reporter somehow thinks this fact makes my dad “politically connected.” Does she know I’m running against a career politician who’s been riding his father’s political coattails in elected office for three decades?
I knew getting into this race could mean things would get nasty, but it’s sad to see we’ve fallen so far that one of our nation’s oldest papers of record is pushing the Democrats’ baked narrative.
I’m so proud of my parents’ teaching careers and to have been raised in Bloomsburg.

It was there that I wrestled and played football and was nominated to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

And it was there that I came home to a parade after serving in combat during the Gulf War.

It’s a shame this reporter from New York City doesn’t want to tell that story. I think it’s a pretty great one.
I’ve opened myself and my family up to attacks from the left, and every day feels like a battle. But I’m no stranger to fighting for what is right and if we don’t elect leaders to go to DC to clean up the mess the career politicians made, we will lose America as we know it!
Here’s where I need your help, Fellow American. We need to combat these lies from the New York Times with the TRUTH about me. The Democrats are seeing the same polls you and I see. They know Joe Biden and my opponent Bob Casey are in trouble, and they are going to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to try and defeat me.
I hate asking for money — I’m not a career politician, and it’s not in my nature — but I have no choice but to ask if we’re going to hit our fundraising goal. Will you chip in $29 or more right now to fight back against the lies from the Left?
Chuck Schumer and his allies are working overtime to obliterate my campaign. They have committed to spend whatever it takes to defeat me. They know if I win this race in Pennsylvania, it’ll be IMPOSSIBLE for Democrats to keep their majority in the Senate.

If we don’t show the Democrats we can win this race, it’s game over. That’s why I’m hoping you can spare $29, $50, or even $100 to help me fight back against the lies.
Your donation will take us one step closer to victory, and I am so grateful for your support.
Thank you,
Dave McCormick
P.S. Democrats from all over the country are pouring money into this race to defeat me because they know this race could flip the Senate red. Will you chip in $29 or more to make sure I have the resources to WIN?
