First -- This is absolutely nuts.
Second, it underscores an underreported fact during the COVID-19 pandemic -- that gun sales in March skyrocketed -- it's more than just toilet paper that is flying off of store shelves. Two million guns were purchased in March, the second highest month on record.
All of this news underscores the simple fact that more than a year ago, we passed Universal Background Checks legislation through the House on a bipartisan vote. But Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is in the pocket of the NRA, and refuses to bring it up for a vote.
In Washington, I'm continuing to fight each and every day for gun safety reform, even as our work changes in the face of the COVID-19 response.
And in Georgia, I'd like to remind my fellow Congressional candidates that there are better and safer ways to fundraise than raffling off AR-15's.
(Like asking for grassroots contributions in emails like these).
With love,

COVID-19 has completely changed our campaign and put a much heavier emphasis on digital fundraising. If you could chip in $10 or $20 to emails like this one, we’ll be in much better shape to win this swing district in November thanks to your grassroots support.
