# [#] I’m honored and humbled to have received the endorsement of Rep. Marilyn Strickland from Washington’s 10th Congressional District in my race for Lands Commissioner.

It is a significant endorsement from a Member of Congress who has never forgotten her roots or her heritage.

As the first Member of Congress of both Korean and African-American heritage and the first African-American member elected from Washington state, Rep. Strickland is a trailblazer in her own right.

One of the many reasons I am proud to have her endorsement is that Congresswoman Strickland and I share a common philosophy on what we have to do to get things done. Our shared values and commitment to progress and change are not just words, but a driving force in our actions.
