Representing California’s State Assembly, Alex is the youngest Asian-American legislator ever elected and the first openly bisexual state legislator in California history. In his position, Alex has made huge strides in public safety, climate change and affordable housing.

Let’s be real – we can’t rely on the older folks in our government to look out for us. They’ve already paid their mortgages, and they won’t have to deal with the worst impacts of climate change. That’s why issues like the housing crisis, global warming and beyond aren’t prioritized for those at the head of the gerontocracy.
But it’s top of mind for people like Alex, fueling his fight for a better and brighter future that serves all Americans. We’re so proud of all of the great work that Alex is doing, and we know with more people like him in office, our democracy will work for everyone – not just old white men.
