John,
Here’s how my weekend went: 🐎
Preakness is the one time a year when all eyes are on Baltimore and Park Heights — and Maryland showed out this weekend for the 149th running of the Preakness Stakes.
It’s a proud Maryland tradition, and I’m even prouder to announce that we approved a deal that will make Pimlico and Park Heights the year-round home of thoroughbred racing. This will keep the Preakness in Baltimore for the decades to come.
A huge congratulations to Seize the Grey, Jaime Torres, and D. Wayne Lukas for winning the running this weekend.
It brings me immense joy to participate in Maryland traditions, connect with community, and lift up our city.
Elevate,
Wes
P.S. Our own team is racing to close our fundraising gap by the end of May. Will you help us cross the finish line by making a contribution today? [[link removed]]
