The science on climate change is as clear: unless we act boldly, and with speed, we are going to see more drought, more wildfire, more severe weather, more disease, more famine, more climate migration, and more human suffering.

Out of all the issues in this election for the White House, Senate, House and more — the issue of climate change must be near the top.

Trump? He thinks climate change is a hoax and is literally asking Big Oil for $1 billion for his campaign in exchange for rolling back the environmental progress of the Biden Administration.

[I did not mince words at the Vatican Climate Summit today: What Donald Trump is doing is open corruption. He’s asking Big Oil for $1 billion. In return, they get to roll back our environmental protections. He’s literally selling off our planet to the highest bidder.]

In California we have made record investments to protect our communities against climate change: strengthening clean air laws, the single largest investment in wildfire preparedness in our state’s history, requiring cars sold be zero-emission vehicles by 2035, and much more.

We’re treating climate change like what it is — an emergency.

But if we lose this election on a national level, there may be no turning back from that.

If everyone reading this email donated $20 directly to Joe Biden’s campaign for president, he would reach his fundraising goals for the month of May and have the resources he needs to beat Trump.

Unfortunately, not everyone gives. So we are counting on people who know the stakes of this election to help Joe Biden raise what it takes to win. If re-electing Joe Biden feels worth $20, please make that donation to his campaign today.
