Friend, no one should be winning votes by suggesting we should deport 15 million immigrants, crash our workforce, destroy families, and create food shortages. We must reject threats to Medicare or Social Security, and no one's campaign strategy should be to promise windfall tax cuts to billionaires in exchange for campaign contributions. As I see it, Northern Michigan and the UP has different plans. We need family-sustaining jobs, better wages, universal healthcare, women's rights, and clean drinking water and air. Our citizens want to be able to afford rent, buy groceries, and pay their bills. We desire connectivity—broadband, better infrastructure, schools, childcare, and reliable, sustainable energy.
