John, this is an unusual request, but an absolutely crucial one. And it will seriously boost our chances of re-electing Jamaal Bowman this year. Let me explain:

One of our core philosophies has always been that, even though we can’t match our opponents dollar-for-dollar, we CAN out-organize them.

At the doorstep, on the phone, or over the internet, talking to voters about the very real, very serious issues affecting their day-to-day will always be more effective than whatever propaganda the right-wing PR firms churn out.

Our biggest issue is scaling. Each organizer can only have so many conversations in a day. And with finite resources, we can only hire so many of them. Progressive campaigns, often with razor-thin budgets, face the same obstacle.

That’s why we are officially hiring up to FOUR field organizers in NY-16 — Jamaal Bowman’s district — to embed themselves with his campaign and talk to voters directly.

The organizers will be focused on the highest priority areas in the district. Not only will they be talking to voters face to face, they’ll also commit a lot of energy toward training and mobilizing volunteers.

These are VITAL roles — and we believe they can help tip the scales. So first and foremost, if you are in Jamaal Bowman’s district and have field campaign experience, I strongly encourage you to check out the job listing and apply here.

The new staff will be reporting to me (Hi!!!), and even though we’ve already filled some positions, we want to hire more ASAP. So please share the link with your friends if they might be interested.

My second request is for everyone else: help us fund this new initiative by chipping in today. Every dollar we raise will go a long way toward not just boosting Jamaal Bowman in the final leg of this race, but running similar embedded-organizer programs for other progressive champions up for re-election this year.
