My name is Isabel. I just started on George’s campaign as his deputy campaign manager. I’m so excited to be on the ground, and here’s why:
For starters, it’s not every day you get to work on one of the most competitive and consequential House races in the entire country. It’s become well-known that CA-27 isn’t just a key toss-up, but the outcome here could very well decide control of the House majority.
It’s also not every day that you get to work for a candidate like George. Going from NASA to leading the team that flew the first woman on a commercial space vehicle, then back home to serve his community says a lot about the type of guy he is.
This campaign is about using his decades of experience to get Congress back on track and help uplift his neighbors. It’s not about pushing a political agenda -- or desperately trying to stay in power like Mike Garcia.
It’s my job to get George’s message out to the community, and as fired up as I am to win this thing, I know it won’t be easy. George is facing near-daily attacks from Fox News and even Mike Garcia himself, and the truth is we need a base of grassroots support to be our shield through the attacks.
