Rep. Lauren Boebert is pushing for an unthinkable and unacceptable honor: awarding Donald Trump a Congressional Gold Medal, despite his role in inciting the insurrection at the Capitol.

Adding insult to injury, Boebert was one of 21 House Republicans who voted AGAINST awarding Congressional Gold Medals to the Capitol Police officers who defended the Capitol and everyone in it on January 6.

We cannot let this happen. Trump's actions on January 6th were an attack on our democracy and the very foundation of our nation. Awarding him a medal would be a disgrace to the office and an insult to those who defend it.
