** Women United Takes Action to Decrease Food Insecurity
------------------------------------------------------------

Women United members, along with friends and family, are receiving a MIGHTY BIG thank you from Valley of the Sun United Way for assembling 1,500 Pantry Packs in a record-breaking 51 minutes!

One in five children experiences hunger and is unsure of where their next meal is coming from. To address this challenge, Women United members came together last month to build Pantry Packs, which include a set menu of shelf-stable pantry items that help families stretch their food dollars.

Valley of the Sun United Way supplies the packs and partners with local schools to help identify families that have the highest need. Pantry Packs are distributed throughout the Valley, getting into the hands of children and families who need them the most.

On behalf of all of us at Valley of the Sun United Way, THANK YOU! Together, we are making progress toward our Bold Goal ([link removed]) of decreasing food insecurity in Maricopa County by 50%.
