John, my name is Steve Kerr. I’m an NBA coach, a father, a gun violence survivor, and one of the many Americans who has had ENOUGH of the gun violence epidemic that is killing our children.
Two years ago this Friday, 19 children and two teachers were killed by a gunman armed with an AR-15 at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX.
To honor these victims with action, I'm teaming up with Brady to help raise $100,000 by midnight tonight — and every dollar will be matched by a generous group of donors. Rush $5 right now — and have your gift DOUBLED — to help pass an assault weapons ban, prevent school shootings, and end the gun violence epidemic.

When I wrote to you last year, I’d hoped that by now we'd be able to celebrate victory for the families of Uvalde and for every family impacted by gun violence.
And while we’ve seen some progress like the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act passed in June 2022, the most comprehensive gun violence prevention legislation in nearly 30 years, we still have a LONG way to go, John.
Today, I'm still sick and tired of the condolences we offer that do nothing for a parent who's going home to their child's empty bed. And I'm still fed up with the pathetic bought-and-paid-for politicians who put their own desire for power above the lives of our children at every single turn.
So today, my message to you is the same as last year, and the year before: Do not let yourself get numb to this. We've got to continue fighting for change with everything we have. That's why I'm asking you to make a gift to Brady to support their life-saving fight for gun violence reform — every gift up to $100,000 will be DOUBLED.

As someone whose father was killed by gun violence, as a dad myself, and as an American, I'm disgusted by the gun lobby's grip on Washington and the inexplicable complacency from Congress.
We're trapped in a cycle of deadly violence, and Americans have had enough.
The vast majority of voters support both universal background checks and an assault weapons ban. But thanks to the gun lobby’s deadly influence, half of our “leaders” in Washington continue to offer empty prayers instead of real solutions.
But that’s exactly what Brady is offering: real, life-saving solutions to this gun violence epidemic. I work with Brady because survivors lead the organization and their passion and dedication is what will finally free our country from this deadly cycle.
But here's the thing: They can’t win this fight alone. They’re counting on people like you to fight beside them and advocate for change. So please, will you make a matched gift before midnight so they can continue their fight to finally end this cycle of violence?

Thank you for being part of this fight for change.
Steve Kerr
