When I first took this job, I was in Detroit talking to voters when one woman told me, "You have to stop showing up at my church every October and telling me that you care." She's right, Samuel. Democrats shouldn't just reach out to our voters right before an election -- we need to be talking to voters all of the time. That's why the DNC is building a massive, national organizing infrastructure. Organizing and mobilizing year round is not only how we'll win elections -- it also helps voters learn what the Democratic Party stands for and why our values are important. This Saturday is our first end-of-quarter deadline of 2018 -- and each contribution made before the deadline will help Democrats build the infrastructure it takes to win. Will you make your first donation of 2018 today? Let me put it this way: Winning elections and reaching out to voters early are often two sides of the same coin. We've seen it work in the Virginia House of Delegates race, the Alabama Senate race, and most recently in Pennsylvania with Conor Lamb's stunning victory. The earlier we can start talking to voters in districts across the nation, the better our chances in November. Organizing now is how we win in November. Chip in $3 before Saturday's deadline to help elect Democrats nationwide. Thanks for what you do, Tom Tom Perez Chair Democratic National Committee |
