Here’s our weekly Bowman for Congress newsletter. Check it out for updates from the field and a list of our upcoming events. Thank you again for being part of our movement!

Last week, we knocked over 14,000 doors and made over 36,000 calls to our neighbors about why it’s critical for us to re-elect Jamaal. That’s all because of volunteers like you who are stepping up and doing the work. Organized people beat organized money every time, so if we keep this momentum up, we will win. 



Over the weekend, our Bowman for Congress community came through for some incredible events. On Saturday, we had a strong showing at our Labor Day of Action in Co-op City with Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, NYC Comptroller Brad Lander, the Working Families Party, SEIU 1199, NYSNA, DC37, CIR, and more. Then on Sunday, Muslims for Jamaal came out in full force for our Canvass Kickoff in Yonkers. It was so inspiring to see so many people putting the work in to organize their communities and personal networks. I also want to give a huge shout out to Protect Our Power, WFP, Make the Road, and the local organizers working on school board races who hosted their own canvasses throughout the district this week!

Finally, we rounded out the weekend with our Stand Up Fight Back Virtual Rally, hearing from congresswomen and squad members Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez about why it’s so important for us to contribute in every way that we can to make sure that we re-elect Jamaal. On Tuesday at 8pm, we’re having a Virtual Friendbank where we’ll train everyone on using Reach to organize your friends and family to vote for Jamaal. Then on Wednesday at 6:30pm, the Sierra Club is hosting a virtual Climate Voters for Jamaal Phonebank. Finally, join Team Bowman and the Sunrise Movement on Saturday at 3pm for a Students for Bowman Rally and Canvass. As always, we have canvassing and phonebanking throughout the week as well.
