HiI hope your week is off to a great start! In a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a donation to my reelection campaign. But first, I hope you’ll allow me to explain why your support is so important — especially today.

This election is shaping up to be my most expensive and competitive one yet.

My self-funding Republican opponent has already spent more than $6 million on advertising.

A Mitch McConnell-aligned super PAC is planning $3 million worth of attack ads of their own.

And on top of that, five more dark money groups have reserved a combined $2 million worth of ads attacking my campaign in Wisconsin.

Our campaign is being outspent by my Republican opponent and his dark money allies at every turn. You can’t turn on the TV without seeing an ad that uplifts my opponent or bashes my campaign with misleading attacks.

If we let this continue, Eric Hovde will continue to surge in the polls and dominate the narrative in this Senate race. We need to turn the tides.

Earlier today, our campaign made a risky decision to do exactly that. We increased our May advertising budget so that we can set the record straight — about my work in the U.S. Senate, about Eric Hovde and his far-right views, and about how detrimental a Republican Senate majority would be for our country.

This was a tough call, though, because we don’t have enough funds in the budget to fully cover this ad buy. But I felt confident taking the risk because this grassroots team has always had my back. My hope is that I can count on you right now.

So, I’m humbly asking: Can you chip in $10, $25, or any amount to help us keep our campaign ads on the airwaves? We can’t let my Republicans’ multi-million dollar ad buys go unanswered, but I’ll need your support to ensure we have the resources to compete.
