John,
As a parent, I understand the challenges that families face when it comes to finding accessible and affordable childcare. With almost 30% of North Carolina’s childcare programs expected to close this summer, I know families would be devastated by fewer options, higher prices, and longer commutes to find the right childcare program.
I’m glad to have introduced the Expanding Child Care Access Act with six other House members to address the growing issue of childcare availability and affordability for families.
Under this Act, state-licensed childcare centers would receive a refundable tax credit of up to $5,000. This would incentivize providers of high-quality childcare while also easing the financial burden on families.
While this is a significant step forward, there is only so much we can do. To effectively address affordability and economic disparities, we must flip the House blue in November.
Will you join me today by contributing $5? Together, we can flip the House blue and continue fighting for hardworking families.
