Hi John, I'm Will's mom. 👋

Many don't know this, but I too worked in the criminal justice system -- first as a public defender, then as a prosecutor. When he was younger, I remember teaching Will about landmark Supreme Court cases and some of the trials I personally worked on.

Will was always very motivated, but I like to think some of my lessons inspired him to pursue a legal degree and go on to work in our nation's Justice Department.

Opportunity came fast once he became an Assistant United States Attorney. He began prosecuting white-collar criminals who defrauded seniors out of their retirement savings. Then, after January 6th, he was tasked with holding extremists who stormed the Capitol accountable.

Working in law enforcement in the aftermath of January 6th was a wake up call for Will. He immediately understood that our country couldn't function with a major political party actively undermining our democracy, and I was so proud of Will for seizing the opportunity to improve it.
