I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during this difficult time. As we continue to move our campaign operations online, these emails have never been more important. So, I hope you’ll take a moment to read this one.

Since we can’t actually sit down and grab a coffee in person, I will be hopping on a virtual call with my team to go over our priorities and strategy for the coming months. But before I do, I wanted to check in with you because it’s important that I get your feedback, too.

With everything that’s going on right now, my top priority is making sure this campaign continues to be about you and fighting for your interests in the Senate.

I wish I could sit down and grab a coffee with each of you and hear what’s on your mind — but with social distancing orders in place, the next-best way for me to know is by emailing you a few short questions directly.

My parents had always raised me to believe that to be a true part of your community, it’s not enough just to keep your lawn nice or say “Hi!” at the grocery store. You need to actually listen to each other and work together to solve problems.

You know, most people who have never been to Minnesota remember us for our weather. But Minnesotans are better known for listening to each other. Even when they disagree, folks are willing to respect each others’ opinions.

As I have always seen it, if you really listen to people, you’ll find everybody has a story worth hearing. Everybody has a problem worth working to solve. And when it comes to making big decisions as a community, everyone deserves a seat at the table.

So, I’m asking you to join me at the table. Help me do a better job of answering to folks like you during this election by filling out my quick priorities survey. Your feedback is important to me.
