I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: We are facing a housing crisis
of epic proportions.

To solve it, we need every city and county government to do its part to
create more affordable housing across California. Unfortunately, some
choose to violate our state housing laws, but rest assured, we’re holding
them accountable.

Last week, we won our court case against Huntington Beach for the city’s
failure to comply with California’s Housing Element law and plan for
enough housing for moderate-, low-, and very low-income Californians.

This legal victory goes to show that no city is above the law. For
housing, it’s simple: Act in good faith, do your part, and follow the law
— if you flout or break the law, we’ll hold you accountable.

It’s going to take all of us, every community, to address the housing
crisis and ensure every Californian can access and afford a place to call
home.

of California, consider chipping in $5 to our people-funded
campaign today.
