When Florida’s six-week abortion ban went into effect earlier this month, Virginia’s reproductive health care providers began bracing for more out-of-state patients.
The reason? Virginia is the only state left in the South without an abortion ban, making an increase in out-of-state patients inevitable.
It’s heartbreaking that women from states like Florida are being forced to travel to Virginia just to get the health care they need. We must restore the protections of Roe to all 50 states.
I have a bill to do just that — but it won’t matter if I’m not re-elected in November.
So I have to ask: Can you pitch in $20 or more to help send me back to the Senate, solidify our Democratic majority, and restore the protections of Roe nationwide? [[link removed]]
