Help us fight Shell’s dirty tactics before it’s too late
John, have you heard? We’re going to court this week to stand up to Shell’s dirty tactics.
We’re being sued by the oil giant for millions of dollars over a peaceful climate protest. Now, they’re trying to stop us from highlighting their climate-wrecking activities in court.
It all starts this Friday when we’ll be in court. We urgently need your help. I’ve written to you before and so many people have answered our call. I’ve been overwhelmed by the response. But if you’ve wanted to donate and haven’t quite had the chance – now is the time.
We need to raise £1 million for our STOP SHELL APPEAL and to stand up to Big Oil. We’re so close – will you help us raise the shortfall?
John, if just 10% of the people reading this email donate today, we’ll hit our goal. Will you be one of the brave people to stand with us in the fight against destructive Big Oil?

I know what you’re thinking: this is outrageous. Shell knows their climate record is indefensible, and that’s why they don’t want it being heard in court. So they’re using an expensive army of lawyers to intimidate us into silence. We can’t let them get away with this.
Shell doesn’t want people to find out that their greedy pursuit of fossil fuels is fuelling deadly heatwaves, floods, droughts and crop failure. Lives are being lost and livelihoods are in tatters. Shell’s pursuit of profit is choking the air we breathe – they’re making billions at your expense.
But we won’t let them win. We’re going to court on Friday to stop them from shamelessly trying to stop us advancing our climate arguments. John, can I count on your help to resist this latest attack?
We only have DAYS before our first fight with Shell in court. Will you donate today and join thousands of like-minded people who refuse to let Big Oil win? Together we can show these bullies that they can’t get away with their climate-wrecking activities.

As you read this, Shell’s expensive army of lawyers are doing everything they can to silence us. They’re scared: they don’t want people like us holding them to account for their climate-wrecking activities. So they’re trying to drain our resources through expensive court hearings.
But we won’t back down. We’ll keep fighting their dangerous drilling for oil and gas – and exposing their shameful greed for the world to see. And we’ll keep up the pressure until the whole industry stops drilling and starts paying for the damage they’re causing around the world.
John, just reading this means that you’ve made a start. You’ve joined the movement for change – you know a better future is possible. Now, we’re asking you to take the next step. Donate to our STOP SHELL APPEAL and help us be as strong as possible when we walk into the courtroom this Friday.

This is Greenpeace’s hour of need: please don’t ignore the call.
Shell has underestimated our people-powered movement. They may have expensive lawyers and billions in the bank, but we’ve got you.
This is a decisive moment – so please, if you can, donate today and join the thousands of Greenpeace supporters who refuse to let Big Oil win.
