John,
The new House Republican budget plans to gut Social Security and Medicare by trillions.
It all started last year with a plan released by the Republican Study Committee – which Lauren Boebert supports – to raise the retirement age.
The current plan would force everyone 59 years or younger, almost 600K of us in CO-04, to work longer for less money.
That’s not going to happen on my watch. I’m running for Congress to protect and expand Social Security and Medicare – the two most important and successful government programs ever created.
If you agree Republicans need to keep their hands off Social Security, pitch in $25, $50, $100 or more now to help me fight for this seat so we can FLIP CO-04 and take back the House majority. [[link removed]]

This isn’t the first time Lauren Boebert has come after your retirement benefits, and it won’t be the last.
Last year, Boebert voted for the Default on America Act , another GOP plan that would’ve slashed the budget for Social Security by 22%.
Those kinds of cuts would close offices, increase wait times, and force the agency to lay off thousands of workers.
More people today approach retirement with zero savings and depend on Social Security for most or all of their income.
The very idea of cutting these benefits that we have paid into all our lives is obscene, and I won’t stand for it.
When I’m elected, I will fight to strengthen and expand Social Security by lifting the cap on what the rich pay into this program and giving retirees greater financial security for as long as they need it.
Absolutely no one should be forced to work until they die. Help me flip this seat and I will fight tooth and nail to protect and expand our benefits.
Semper Fi,
Ike McCorkle

P.S. From Team Ike:
It was brought to our attention that this message from our email the other day was misunderstood to imply that Ike served 20 years in the Marines. Ike was in fact wounded in combat and retired due to complications from injuries he sustained, served 18 years, and medically retired from the Corps in Oct. 2014. We apologize for any confusion this may have created.
A screenshot from a recent email showing two lines of text that read: “I’ve been serving my country for over 20 years, as a Marine, as a father, as a community leader. I will keep serving my country in Congress, and you won’t ever have to guess where my loyalties lie.” The first portion of the first line, “I’ve been serving my country for over 20 years, as a Marine” has been highlighted to identify the source of the potential confusion. Respectfully,
Team Ike
