Friend,
Dogs and puppies need your help. Congress is considering two vitally important bills that could drastically improve conditions for hundreds of thousands of dogs in puppy mills, give federal agencies better tools to shut down problem puppy mills and other USDA-regulated facilities and save lives.
Can we count on you to support our legislative efforts to end the cruelty in puppy mills and protect all animals from suffering and abuse?
Right now, over 130,000 dogs are kept for breeding in puppy mills that are regulated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. These dogs often suffer in cramped and inhumane conditions, bred repeatedly until their bodies give out and then they are ultimately discarded or killed. Dogs deserve better, and that starts with better federal oversight, like the kind we’re fighting for in Washington, D.C.
Passing laws like the Better CARE for Animals Act and the Puppy Protection Act would directly impact countless animal lives for the better. But policy battles can take time, and require plenty of resources. With an election looming we don’t have a moment to lose and now is the time to make our voices heard.
Donate $20 or more now to help us protect puppies, end animal suffering and save lives.
