Learn more about how I’m fighting back
Dear Friends,
Across the nation, abortion rights are under attack.
Recently, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a case that could prevent women from accessing emergency, life-saving care, including abortion. Extremists want to not only prevent women from receiving that emergency care, but they want to criminalize the doctors who choose to save women’s lives.
It’s simple: politicians and judges should not be deciding whether pregnant women live or die. We must be ready if the Supreme Court further chips away at women’s reproductive freedom – that’s why I’m fighting back.
Last month, I joined emergency room doctors and hospital leadership at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center to highlight the critical need to protect access to emergency care and enact federal abortion protections. In New Jersey we have important laws in place that fiercely protect reproductive freedom and health – and ensure that the doctors at our great hospitals can live up to the Hippocratic Oath without fear of legal persecution.
But this Supreme Court case could eliminate those protections for doctors in states with abortion bans to provide necessary abortion care. And without strong federal legislation, extremists in Washington will continue to encroach on abortion rights nationwide, even in states like New Jersey.

I’m ready to continue to be prepared and vigilant – to support women’s freedom and livelihoods, and to support doctors so they can provide life-saving emergency care when patients need it.
