Hi, this is Herb Jones, and I'm running for Congress in Virginia’s 1st Congressional District. As an Army veteran, small business owner, and someone who has raised their family in New Kent, I have seen firsthand the political help our community needs.
In the Army, we did not focus on who was Republican or who was Democrat. We had two common goals, protecting our country and protecting each other. I wish we could say the same for our congressman, Rob Wittman. Wittman has been in office for roughly 17 years; for 17 years, we, the people, have been neglected and divided. It’s time to retire him and bring common sense back to Congress.
We need affordable healthcare, housing, and better support for veterans. We need more investment in our children’s education. And we need to make sure women’s rights are not in jeopardy. That’s why my name will be on the ballot come June 18, 2024. I’m ready to fight for these issues and the republic we deserve as hardworking taxpayers.
