Societal Rot: Video Series Showcases Impact of the Left’s Pro-Criminal Policies |
Bitter fruit: To the Left, societal rot is like the weather. You can complain all you want, but there isn’t anything you can do about it. Nothing could be further from the truth, say Charles “Cully” Stimson, deputy director of, and Zack Smith, senior legal fellow at, the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies.
- Last week, Stimson and Smith posted a series of short videos from the heart of societal rot—San Francisco.
- The videos showcase the effects of the Left’s soft-on-crime and open-border policies on this once great city. They visit the soon-to-be-closed Macy’s, the pier where an illegal alien murdered Kate Steinle, and an open-air drug den.
- Stimson and Smith co-authored a book—“Rogue Prosecutors: How Radical Soros Lawyers Are Destroying America’s Communities”—that goes into great detail about the human tragedy resulting from these policies.
- “Societal rot is a choice,” they say.

Nefarious: After filing some 1,600 Freedom of Information Act requests, Heritage’s Oversight Project is starting to expose the Biden administration’s covert efforts to rig the election in President Biden’s favor through a government-wide voter registration scheme.
- “Biden is combining the massive resources of [the] federal government to work with exclusively hard-left dark money groups for the biggest get-out-the-vote operation in American history,” Oversight wrote on X.

Exposing the Big Lies About Billionaires |
|
|
|
That’s rich: President Biden says billionaires pay only 8% in taxes, a lie so blatant even The Washington Post called it out.
- It’s one of the many myths about the super-rich busted by Research Fellow Preston Brashers and Senior Research Associate Alexander Frei in a must-read Backgrounder.
- “The great wealth of America’s richest people came from the businesses they created, not inherited wealth,” the researchers write.

Why Don’t U.S. Medical Schools Produce More Doctors? |
|
|
|
Imports: America is experiencing a doctor shortage because there are too few U.S. medical schools turning out too few doctors. As a result, foreign-educated doctors now make up 25% of all physicians here.
- “It was a policy choice to import significantly more foreign-educated doctors rather than train more in the U.S. That policy choice was enforced by monopoly control over the accreditation of U.S. medical schools,” writes Senior Research Fellow Jay Greene.
