Friends,

What happened in Wisconsin this past week should outrage us all. In the midst of an unprecedented global health crisis, Republican lawmakers and judges refused to push back Tuesday's election, extend absentee voting, or institute far-reaching vote-by-mail measures to ensure voters had a safe way to exercise their constitutional right to participate in our democracy.

As a result, thousands of voters in Wisconsin were forced to make an unacceptable choice: risk their health by going to the polls or don't vote at all.

In Milwaukee, voters waited for hours in long lines to cast their ballots because the number of polling locations in the city decreased from 180 to only five polling locations in this past week's election. This is what voter suppression looks like, NAME/friend.

Now more than ever we need to rededicate ourselves to the fight to protect our right to vote. That's why Cory has been a tireless advocate for expanding vote-by-mail during this critical election year.

Will you add your name to this petition asking Congress, governors, and local officials to work together to expand vote-by-mail across the country and implement safe voting practices?

We cannot let what happened in Wisconsin this week happen again in any other state with an upcoming primary -- or the general election in November.

We need to make a plan and start implementing it soon to ensure that voters and their ability to safely cast their vote are both protected for as long as the threat of the coronavirus hangs over this election.

Thanks for taking action on this today. We need your voice in this fight.
