I am so grateful for this opportunity to communicate my message with Texans and supporters like y’all. My story isn’t about the father who wasn’t there, it’s about the mom who was. Her support gave me the chance to chase my version of the American dream from earning a full scholarship to Baylor, to a career in the NFL and now to the halls of Congress.

Look, I know Texans are sick and tired of Ted Cruz and ready for change. We deserve a Senator who does what’s right for Texas, not one who only cares about himself.

But this is going to be a fight every step of the way. After two polls showed this race tied, the right-wing group Club for Growth announced they're planning to spend $10 million against me.

The only way we can combat their spending and win this race is by reaching as many Texans as possible – whether it's through TV ads, digital outreach, phone banks, or knocking doors – and we can't do that without your help.
