Tonight we will be watching John Carpenter's 1988 classic They Live together! During this time of social distancing we want to host all sorts of fun social events so that we can stick together. They Live is, like many of John Carpenter's films, a cult classic. Starring Rowdy Roddy Piper and Keith David, They Live is a subversive look at advertising, media, and who controls what we think (spoiler alert: it's capitalism). I can't wait to watch this with you! See y'all in the chat. |
