Edwidge Danticat

Edwidge Danticat is the author of several award-winning books and essay collections, including her memoir, Brother, I’m Dying, a 2007 finalist for the National Book Award and a 2008 winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award for autobiography. She is a 2009 MacArthur Fellow, 2018 Ford Foundation Art of Change Fellow, 2018 Neustadt Prize winner, 2019 Saint Louis Literary Award winner, 2020 United States Artist Fellow, 2020 Vilceck Prize winner, and 2023 PEN/Malamud Award winner. She is a member of the New York Writer’s Hall of Fame and The American Academy of Arts and Letters. She currently teaches at Columbia University.
