John—My name is Alice, and I’m Mondaire’s grandmother. I’m reaching out because today is a very special day: it's Mondaire's 37th birthday!
My relationship with Mondaire is one that I cherish. He’s my eldest grandchild and I am so proud of him. As a young boy, when child care was too expensive, I would bring Mondaire to work with me as I cleaned homes in our Rockland County community. Life wasn’t easy, but Mondaire always dreamed big and was eager to help folks who faced the same challenges as our family.
I always knew Mondaire was going to accomplish great things. I couldn’t have been more proud to watch him graduate Harvard Law School and eventually be sworn into Congress, ready to fight for the same community we called home. As someone who grew up in Jim Crow Virginia, this was my wildest dream for my grandson.
Throughout his time in Congress, Mondaire never lost sight of who and what he was fighting for. Like many seniors in the Hudson Valley, and throughout this country, I worked well past the age of retirement to pay for the high cost of prescription drugs and medical procedures not fully covered by Medicare. When Mondaire ran for Congress, he said he would do something about that—and he did.
Mondaire fought for me—and every senior in America—and passed the Inflation Reduction Act to lower the cost of prescription drugs.
I am so grateful for the work that Mondaire did in Congress—but I know that he isn’t done fighting. He’s ready to go back to Congress so he can pass legislation to help more hardworking families, but he needs our support.
Today, on Mondaire’s birthday, will you join me in supporting his campaign to flip New York’s 17th District blue? Chip in $37—or anything you can afford—to help send him back to Congress to fight for the issues that matter most to New Yorkers.

Thank you,
