Dear John,

It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting
for our conservative values.

America First means protecting our hard-earned tax dollars from misuse and
prioritizing the well-being of U.S. citizens over foreigners. To that end, Rep.
Pfulger (R-TX) and I introduced legislation to prevent the Biden administration
from offering Obamacare (free healthcare) to millions of illegal immigrants. I
can't stand by while American taxpayers foot the bill for their healthcare
expenses. It is illegal and adds fuel to the fire that is our border crisis,
sending a message that the U.S. will provide for those who break her laws to
come here. President Biden has not been serious about ending this crisis, and
that’s why House Republicans have been taking action.

Additionally, illegal immigrants should not be voting. Period. That's why I
proudly stand with Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) and other GOP House members in
supporting the SAVE (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) Act. This important
legislation ensures that illegal immigration does not translate into illegal
voting. By requiring proof of citizenship in person for voter registration and
removing non-citizens from voter rolls, the SAVE Act strengthens our election
system and upholds the fundamental principle that only U.S. citizens have the
right and privilege to vote. This commonsense measure will enhance election
integrity and help restore confidence in our electoral process.

In honor of National Police Week, the House passed a trio of
law-enforcement-focused bills, all of which I strongly supported.

Detain and Deport Illegal Aliens Who Assault Cops Act

As its name suggests, this bill allows us to detain and deport undocumented
immigrants who assault law enforcement officers. No one should be attacking
officers—especially individuals who shouldn't be in our country in the first
place.

DC Crimes Act

It's a true shame what crime and chaos have done to our nation’s capital—much
of it perpetuated by youth and tolerated by a radical city council. TheDC
Crimes Actlowers D.C.'s youth offender status to those younger than 18 and
prevents the city council from changing its sentencing laws. Until we have the
kind of accountability this legislation helps enforce, nothing will change.

Improving Law Enforcement Officer Safety and Wellness

This bill requires the Attorney General to submit a report on violent attacks
against law enforcement officers. This will help us gather and analyze the data
needed to proactively target and put a stop to disgusting attacks on law
enforcement.

As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with.
Thank you for your continued support!

With gratitude,
