Team,
Last week, the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on the urgent need to protect DACA-eligible young people, especially as threats over DACA mount.
It has been over two decades since the original Dream Act was introduced in 2001 and received bipartisan support. In the years since, immigrant youth have lived in limbo — finally receiving protections from the DACA program in 2012, having the program closed to new applicants in 2021, and now waiting for a likely Supreme Court decision.
Immigrant youth have never felt truly safe. Our protections are not permanent, and the clock is ticking.
Congress has proven they can take bipartisan action on immigration. Now is the time to deliver. After years of waiting, now is the time for permanent protections.
If you’re able, please add a donation today to help keep up our fight for permanent protections. We’re grateful for any amount you can give in support of our ongoing work to uplift immigrant communities.
