GEARING UP FOR THE PRIMARY
On Monday, May 13, Governor Hogan started the final day before the Primary Election at the Double T Diner in Annapolis. While there, he met with and personally thanked members of the Veterans for Hogan Coalition.
Governor Hogan:
“We can never do enough to express our gratitude for the brave sacrifices of our veterans, who continue to serve our communities even after they hang up their uniform. Thank you to all of the veterans who joined us this morning, and a special thank you to Brigadier General John Teichert for leading our coalition.”

Governor Hogan:
“Walking into the polling place with Yumi this morning, I felt overwhelming gratitude for the opportunity to ask to serve our great state once more.

NEW COALITION
On Wednesday, May 15–the day after the primary–Governor Hogan launched his new coalition Democrats for Hogan with his good friend and former State Senator Bobby Zirkin. Gov. Hogan will always work across the aisle for the common good in Maryland and our entire country. For eight years, the Governor delivered bipartisan results working with Democratic majorities in the General Assembly.
Governor Hogan:
“To my Democratic and Independent friends, you know me and you know my proven track record of reaching across the aisle to find common ground for the common good. You know that I have the courage to put people over politics and to put country over party. I will continue to be the same strong independent leader for Maryland that I always have been.
If you are completely fed up with the divisiveness and dysfunction and want a strong, independent leader who will fight to clean up the mess in Washington—then join us.”

Larry Hogan showed political magic in his two victories for governorship but will likely struggle to pull off a repeat as he tries to become the first Maryland Republican since 1980 to win a U.S. Senate seat. The Republican Party anointed Mr. Hogan its nominee Tuesday, pitting him against Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks. She won a heavily contested primary to emerge as the Democratic Party nominee for a seat being vacated by Sen. Benjamin L. Cardin.

A Personal Message from Governor Larry Hogan:
[link removed]
Hi, it’s Governor Larry Hogan.
When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.
Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.
Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.
I don't aspire to be a United States senator. I don’t need a title and I don’t need a job, but I’m more concerned than ever about the direction of the country and I have become more convinced that I can make a difference by taking the approach and style of leadership I had during my eight years as governor to Washington.
It’s no surprise this mindset has made me a target of the Washington partisans. Despite early polls showing a lead, I know I’m the underdog in this race. And that’s why your support TODAY is so crucial.

So if you can chip in a donation of $25 or more, it will go a long way in helping me continue building a strong campaign.
For eight years, we proved that the toxic politics that divide our nation didn’t need to divide our state, and we got results! Let’s get back to work again and send a message to Washington that will be heard loud and clear across the country!

Will you join me today and help end the dysfunction in Washington?
Thank you,
Larry Hogan
